Adoptions

Applications must be submitted and approved for adoption. This can be done via this website (adoption agreement on homepage) or in person during business hours.

If an animal is too young to be spayed or neutered at the time of adoption, there will be a voucher given to cover the surgery within an appropriate timeframe (at participating veterinarian offices) and a deposit will be required. Deposits start at $100 and are subject to go up with increasing distance of an adopters location from the BDCHS facility. Some distances may be too far for BDCHS to adopt unaltered animals to. Please call to check on the restrictions of your location if wanting to adopt a puppy or kitten. Deposits are returned when spay or neuter surgery is confirmed as being completed.
